Located in central-southern Italy, it stretches between the Apennine ridge and the Adriatic Sea. Nature, history, art and ancient traditions are the treasures of this still unknown land. Its territory is predominantly mountainous and hilly; the coastline features sandy beaches surrounded by mediterranean vegetation and a clear and clean sea, awarded with the Blue Flag. Millennial history and culture can be discovered by visiting archaeological sites, abbeys, villages and the many castles present on the territory.

Campobasso, a city of probable Longobard origin, collects numerous testimonies of various historical epochs, from the 13th century church of San Leonardo, to the 15th century Monforte castle, and to the neoclassical cathedral of Santissima Trinità. Campomarino, heavily damaged by the 1456 earthquake, was later rebuilt by a large Albanian emigration established along the Adriatic coast.

Molise is composed of 2 regions, 136 municipalities and 8 unions of municipalities. The provinces are Campobasso and Isernia.
