The Company

From the love for its territory and from a over 650 years family tradition, the company Azienda Valenti has always stood out for the great quality of its products and the creative passion they convey. In addition to the crafting of wines such as Moscato di Noto Acantus, revival of "Pollio" one of the oldest wines in the world with about 2770 years of history, Azienda Valenti put the wine as the focus point of a global taste. It creates a personal "Planet Wine, " where wines are not limited to accompany the food, but partecipates to the composition of different types of aliments, deeply transforming and improving them, giving an unique scent and taste.

Sweet Moscato Acantus

It is produced in limited quantities as befits a precious jewel, from yellow muscat grapes or moscatella in purity. This wine of singular beauty honours the Sicilian enology enhancing the noble land that produces it.

 

Production Specifications


VINIFICATION: The whole process is run at a controlled temperature, from maceration to the soft pressing until fermentation and maturation with peaks of 3°C
RAISING SYSTEM: Espalier raised with a spurred cordon
HARVESTING TECHNIQUE: Ripe grapes are harvested by hand in the second half of October
REFINING: Refining is stainless steel and in bottle, for at least four months
PLANTS DENSITY: 4000/ha
PLANT PRODUCTIVITY: 0,78 kg
NUMBER OF BOTTLES PER YEAR: 5000

Drinking and Storage


NOSE: It exceptionally translates in taste the typical character of the land it comes from: soft orange blossoms notes, quite typical of this grape species along with brooms shades
TASTE: The sip is nicely sweet, delicate and pleasantly non invasive,with an extraordinary tactile-olfactory fusion
MATCHING FOOD: a high class dessert wine, to be tasted along with almond pastries, chocolate, cheese and any kind of sweets.

STORAGE CONDITIONS: Bottles lying down in a cool environment (temperature <18°C)
